What is the Oleaccrc.dll file?

This is a Windows-provided DLL that contains the code for the Active Accessibility Resource functionaility.

Inside this file, you will find an API that taps into the user interface of the operating system and gives programs that include it the ability to present controls to the user.

It’s an important and very core part of the operating system that almost every program will include into itself during launch, some games may include it too.

The DLL made its first appearance in the mid-1990s and can be seen as a predecessor to the DirectX technologies that opened up many visual possibilities for developers.

You can find this DLL living in modern Windows versions within the System32 folder inside the operating systems folder structure.

The Oleaccrc.dll is responsible for a lot of the user interface functionality within applications that you run on top of Windows and without it your program will struggle to be presented properly.

More than likely advanced features such as switching tabs and working seamlessly with the rest of the programs you have running will be the most obvious loss if this DLL isn’t available.
